Arriving
Arrive anytime after 10.00am. Our service begins as 10.30am but we’d love to offer you a coffee or tea before we start. Our friendly welcome team (they’re the ones with the lanyards on) will let you know where to go, where you can grab a drink and answer any questions you have. Service When the service starts we encourage everyone to take their seats (there's a countdown on the screen!). We start with a time of sung worship led by the band. The words will appear on the screen and you’re free to join in or sit and enjoy the music. Then we normally have a couple of notices, a 10 minute break for more coffee, followed by a talk looking at the Bible and issues that affect our daily lives. We always make time to pray for people at the end should they want it. Each service normally lasts about 90 minutes. First Sundays On the first Sunday in the month we replace the talk with time to share stories of what God is doing in our lives and what we're thankful for. After the service our friends at the Irish Centre provide us with sausages and chips. Children and Youth We love having children and young people with us in church and want them to feel really welcome! We don't have a separate group for the children, but there's loads of space at the back with no end of crafts and activities. The Youth have a separate group on the first and third weeks of the month, during the talk and at the Wilkins Centre. |
Dress code
Whatever you’re comfortable in works for us! We’re an informal group - jeans, t-shirts and trainers. If you feel better in a shirt and tie, though, we won’t bat an eyelid either. Safeguarding We are a warm and friendly church who are committed to being a safe church for all. Our safeguarding policies and protocols are available to view on this website. We believe that keeping people safe is everyone’s responsibility. If anyone sees or experiences something that doesn’t seem right we encourage them to report it straight away. Transport and Parking Public Transport - we're so central the bus stops aren't far away, we're just around the corner from B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B13 & B14. By Car - There's plenty of nearby parking: outside the Wilkins Centre; next door on Lymn's forecourt or on street. If you're new and need a parking ticket, just let the team know and they'll sort out the ticket for you. Access The meeting room at the Irish Centre is on the first floor, there's a lift. Please ask one of the welcome team if you need a hand. |
